Houston Independent School District announced Accelerate Houston, a multi-faceted initiative to modernize educational opportunities and ensure students have access to resources and facilities that support future focus learning.

The plan includes the launch of Future 2 Schools, an accelerated math pathway for middle school students, a virtual school option for high schoolers, upgraded and expanded Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and expanded autonomy for the District’s highest-performing high schools. Accelerate Houston will help position HISD to better serve students today while preparing them for the demands of the future and strengthening the fiscal sustainability of the District.
